My name is Brian and am the author of The Dad Code’s articles. I created the Dad Code to help decode many of the trails and tribulations that come with being a Father. The blogs here will offer my unique perspectives to familiar challenges that will also include ideas on how to navigate them. Being a Dad in the modern area comes with tremendous responsibility and with it pressure. There’s comfort in having other Dad’s to commiserate with.
More about Brian:
I’m a father of two young boys and married to a wonderfully supportive woman. I came from very humble beginnings, experienced some childhood trauma, and barely graduated highschool, but have worked hard to see what I’m truly capable of. I traveled the world in the military, achieved a number of communications accolades, built some confidence and worked to earn a bachelors and masters degree from Penn State and Georgetown Universities respectively. I’m now mid career working in the communication field at a large Department in Washington DC.
I’m grateful for my life, but have also been through some shit and its my hope to use what I have learned in life and share my personal stuggles and triumphs here.
